What is EDM style?

EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music. So all electronic dance music is EDM in essence. Though nowadays the meaning of EDM is altered a bit. EDM now refers to more popular mainstream electronic music. The semantics of the word EDM does vary between countries. In some countries EDM used to refer to a certain genre of music.
